Alpi Eagles
Based in Italy, Alpi Eagles SpA was a privately owned regional airline. The airline had its main base at Marco Polo International Airport and operated scheduled passenger services linking 15 domestic destinations, as well as international services to Albania, Czech Republic, France, Romania, Russia, Spain and Ukraine. Established in 1979, Alpi Eagles started scheduled passenger services from Venice in May 1996. It was owned by Interbanca, Ithifly-Veneto Svillippo and Titano-Airontours. The majority of airlines' shares were purchased by Paolo Sinigalia.
Following years, the airline made several efforts to continue operations. However, in September 2007, the airlines' license was put under in investigation, due to insufficient financial resources. After legal action, a provisional license was issued to the airline which was valid until 31 December, 2007. The airline was then forbidden to operate by ENAC, starting 1 January, 2008.
