Found in 1948, Midwest Airlines (YX) went from strength to strength until its merger with Frontier Airlines in 2010. Midwest airlines had its headquarters at Oak Creek and its target city was Kansas City International Airport. This airline was hugely popular for its inventive 2-by-2 seating arrangements in business class with leather seats and mouth-watering, fresh-baked chocolatechip cookies.
With the slogan of ‘The Best Care in the Air’, Midwest Airlines used to fly to 18 destinations like Chicago’s O'Hare International Airport, Memphis, and Atlanta's Fulton County Airport with a fleet of 18 airplanes that boasted Boeing 717s. To show its appreciation to loyal customers, Midwest airlines also started a frequent-flyer program name ‘Midwest Miles’ that used to offer great discount.
