Formerly known as Trans-Pacific Airlines, Aloha Airlines (AQ) ventured out into the aviation industry in 1946. The airline had an impressive collection of 22 airplanes including Boeing 737-200s and Douglas DC-9-30s. Aloha Airlines provided its airline services to 12 cities across Canada, the US mainland, the South Pacific and the Hawaiian Islands. Some of the main cities, covered by Aloha Airlines were Kahului, Lihue, Honolulu, Hilo, Kona and Hawaii.
Globally famous for its quality services, Aloha Airlines enjoyed a handsome share in American aviation industry. But its dream run came to an end on March 31, 2008 when Aloha Airlines closed its all passenger flight operations because of high fuel prices and competitive air fares. Subsequently, the airline filed for bankruptcy protection. Presently, Aloha Airline provides cargo flights from its base in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA.
