Passengers are allowed to carry one bag. Dimensions should not exceed 25x43x61 cm (height + width + length) and one personal item, such as a purse, briefcase or laptop computer.

Passengers may check their first bag free of charge. $25 is charged for the second bag. Each bag can be a maximum of 62 linear inches (length + width + height) and may weigh up to 50 pounds. Additional fees apply if there are 3 or more bags being checked, or if the bags are overweight or oversized.
Excess
An additional amount of $50 is charged for each bag weighing 51-100lbs. There is a fee of $50 for every bag between 63 and 80 inches, and $75 for bags between 80-115 inches. Bags weighing over 100 lbs and exceeding 115 inches are not accepted.

Beginning March, 2010, Alaska Airline added thrice-weekly service between San Jose, CA, and Kahului, Maui, and four-times-weekly service between San Jose and Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Hawaii Flights from Bay Area to Kauai:
Alaska Airlines will inaugurate service between San Jose, CA, and Lihue, on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, on March 27, 2011, and between Oakland, CA, and Lihue beginning March 28, 2011.
The new flights will complement the airline's existing Hawaii service from San Jose and Oakland to Kahului, Maui, and Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii, and new flights between Sacramento, CA, and Kahului, which started in March 2010.

Hawaii and Mexico Flights :
For travelers to Hawaii and Mexico, Alaska Airlines will start a daily service between San Diego, CA, and Kahului, Maui, beginning Oct. 1, and daily seasonal service between San Diego and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, starting Nov. 12, 2010. The airline will also begin seasonal flying between Portland, OR, and Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii, four times a week starting Nov. 12. Additionally, it will add a second flight between Seattle and Kona that will operate thrice weekly from Nov. 11 to April 10, 2011.
