Argentina’s two largest airports were closed for the second straight day as lingering volcanic ash from an eruption in Chile has made the surrounding airspace too dangerous to fly.
Officials said conditions could improve by Friday afternoon as winds shift and move the cloud further from vital airspace.
However, the nation’s Travel Secretariat warned that all airports in the southern regions of the nation would remain closed until travel was deemed safe for all passengers.
