Virgin America Announces Fares Without Borders Sale, Details Chihuahua Rescue Efforts

Virgin America’s Fares Without Borders sale kicks off today, celebrating the carrier’s newly announced service between San Francisco, California and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.


Puerto Vallarta service debuts December 2 with special fares available for travel through March 14, 2012. Passengers who book by September 1 can enjoy fares to Puerto Vallarta starting from just $129* each way.


Travelers can also enjoy deeps discounts on flights to all of Virgin America’s other destinations during the sale, with many one-way fares starting from just $49*.


Virgin America has also detailed plans to assist the San Francisco Animal Care and Control’s (SFACC) Chihuahua rescue efforts.


For every flight to Mexico booked between now and September 1, the airline will donate $25 to the SFACC (up to a $25,000 total donation.) Virgin America and the SFACC will use the funds to transport four-legged members of the West Coast’s over-crowded Chihuahua population to loving families in New York City.
