Japan Airlines to Fly Non-Stop Between Tokyo and Boston in April 2012

This blog post was updated on July 26, 2021.

Japan Airlines has announced that it will launch non-stop service between Tokyo’s Narita Airport and Boston’s Logan International Airport on April 22, 2012.

With the new route, Japan Airlines is the first carrier to directly link Boston and Asia.

The flights will offer business and economy class seating on Boeing Dreamliner 787 aircraft.

Initial service will be offered four times per week before being upgraded to daily on June 1, 2012.

American Airlines will codeshare on the flights. The two airlines entered into a joint agreement last month, a move that will strengthen Japan Airlines’ presence in North America.
