The Red Lion Hotel Anaheim near Disneyland is taking exception to the fact that Prince William and Kate Middleton will not visit Disneyland as part of their whirlwind tour of California this weekend.
To combat the snub, the hotel is offering free stays to any married couples legally named “William and Kate (or Catherine)” if they book by July 31. Qualifying couples will be privy to three nights’ accommodation at the hotel through August 28.
Bargain hunters shouldn’t be rushing to the courthouse for a quick name change, however. The hotel will require couples to present driver’s licenses or passports as well as a marriage license bearing the first names before cashing in on the offer.
