Five Travel Related Costume Ideas

This blog post was updated on October 11, 2018.

We all know the obvious costumes that relate to travel, the sexy stewardess, the hunky pilot, the tourist (though I do love that one), the list continuous. This year, why not pay tribute to some of your favorite monuments and attractions from around the globe? Express your love for travel and culture this Halloween!

New York’s Statue of Liberty:
There’s not only great costumes for this that you can purchase but, if you really don’t feel like spending money, you can just paint your body sea foam green, wear a sea foam green sheet and a crown and call it a day.

South Dakota’s Mount Rushmore:
This is a great costume because it’s something that can be done with friends or a group.  George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln are great costumes alone; imagine being fused together with friends to represent all four!

The Mona Lisa of Paris, France: With or without the frame, it’s a great costume. However, I suggest the frame, it adds character.

Egypt’s Sphinx: A mythological creature that is presented as a recumbent feline with a human head, this incredible monument makes the perfect costume.

London’s Big Ben: Get a pointy hat, draw a clock, stick it on your chest and where brown and charcoal. Bam! You’re Big Ben. As the largest four-faced chiming clock and the third-tallest free-standing clock tower in the world, you’re bound to make some impressions!
