A Michigan woman filed a law suit against New York’s famous Waldorf-Astoria on Thursday accusing the hotel of infesting her and her husband with bedbugs during their stay.
Christina Drabicki says her and her spouse David brought the bedbugs home to Plymouth Michigan where they passed the bedbugs off to their two daughters, one of whom had an allergic reaction – according to the lawsuit filed in state Supreme Court.
The Drabickis stayed at the Waldorf-Astoria from May 24-27 and discovered bedbug bites after the first night. The hotel moved the couple to a different room however failed to warn them that their luggage may also be infected. The family was forced to evacuate their home for six weeks while it was exterminated for about $4,500.
