According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), U.S. airlines need to prep for heavy traffic as they’re expecting one billion passengers to be in the air by 2021.
The FAA is expecting close to 750 million passengers on U.S. airlines alone, at the same expecting that number to grow 2.8 percent every year until 2031.
The administration projects international traffic to beat out domestic traffic in growth, 7.8 percent to 3 percent.
