The U.S. Corporation for Travel Promotion, founded by Congress back in 2010, is re-branding itself as Brand USA in an attempt to lure more foreign tourists to the country.
The new brand will soon kick off a campaign abroad touting the “United States of Awesome Possibilities,” according to a report in USA Today.
The new campaign will focus less on politics and instead portray the US as a land full of hip and exciting destinations.
The US enjoyed a record year for tourism last year attracting more foreign tourists than every country except for France.
However, many visitors came from nearby Canada and Mexico. This new effort will be aimed at attracting visitors from places across the globe.
