New York City is currently enjoying one of the most talked about New York Fashion Weeks in recent memory, but come the end of September all eyes will turn to the New York Film Festival.
The 49th annual celebration of motion pictures will begin on September 30 and run through October 16. Tickets for the event went on sale this morning and fans are already lining up to secure passes to some of the most anticipated screenings of 2011.
Hot titles in this year’s festival include Martin Scorsese’s George Harrison, Lars von Trier’s Melancholia, and the apocalyptic 4:44 Last Day on Earth starring Willem Dafoe.
Tickets for the screenings range in price from $13 to $50 and can be purchased online, in person at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, or over the phone at 212.721.6500.
