Heavy Snow Creates European Travel Chaos

Travelers of Paris and Frankfurt were forced to sleep at the airport after snow and ice storms caused travel chaos. Latina pop star, Shakira canceled a concert in Germany, while the French prime minister missed a gala at Moscow’s Bolshoi Theater.

Commuters in Europe endured traffic jams on snow covered streets Thursday and Scotland called an army to clear the snow. Flights out of Paris and Frankfurt were still delayed after bad weather forced the airport to close temporarily a day earlier.

With four inches of snow on Wednesday, bus services in Paris shut down, traffic jammed, and tourists were rushed out of the Eiffel Tower, while Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport closed for an hour and a half.
