Air Force One Experiences Aborted Landing with President on Board

This blog post was updated on October 4, 2018.

Air Force One aborted a landing this morning at Connecticut’s’ Bradley International Airport due to poor visibility. President Obama was on board the plane at the time of the incident, according to officials.

The aircraft was forced to do a “go round” of the airport, circling until pilots could locate the runway and land the plane safely.

The President’s safety was never in jeopardy, according to the White House.

President Obama later delivered a commencement address at the United States Coast Guard Academy in New London.
