The Nevada State Railroad Museum is a closed bracket of Nevada’s a proud railroad heritage. Most of its contents were obtained from Hollywood studios, and revolves around a superb collection of locomotives and cars. The museum offers train and handcar rides in the historic 1435 mm standard gauge and 914 mm narrow gauge besides an annual railroad history symposium, exhibits and a variety of special events.
Housed inside the city mint, the Nevada State Museum is one of seven Nevada State Museums. It is best known for the world's largest exhibited Columbian Mammoth, the silver service from the USS Nevada and the oldest North American mummy called the Spirit Cave mummy.
The Nevada State Capitol is a stunning masterpiece of Neoclassical Italianate architecture and was built during 1869 and 1871. It had hosted the three parts of the state government (Executive, Legislative and Judicial) for more than 50 years. It also has a time capsule that was deposited along with the capitol’s cornerstone in June 1870 and is slated to be opened in 2064.
Casino Fandango is a famous hotel and casino in Carson City. It had won the award for the Premier Entertainment Destination in Carson City by the Nevada Appeal Readers' Choice awards in 2010. The hotel’s complex includes a digital movie theater, five restaurants, four bars, a performance stage, a three-story parking garage and the casino itself.
