Museo Nazionale di Reggio Calabria
The finest museum in southern Italy, Museo Nazionale di Reggio Calabria is now partly reopened as it has emerged from an interminable renovation. The museum displays the finest examples of ancient Greek sculpture in the world, the Bronzi di Riace, which are two amazing bronze statues that were discovered on the seabed in proximity to Riace in 1972 by a snorkeling chemist from Rome.
Located near the city, Pizzo is a scenic town with medieval origin attracting tourists with buildings and narrow lanes inclining down towards the sea. Pizzo is a famed seaside resort with spectacular cliffs making it excellent spot for nature lovers and photography freaks.
