Are you looking to escape to a southern city that has a mix of history, culture, sporting events, and shopping? Dallas<\/a>, America’s 9th largest city, is one choice that won\u2019t disappoint.<\/p>\n

This year, the Michelin Green Guide<\/em> awarded the city its highest possible rating of three stars. With its full-service hotels, plenty of indoor attractions, and abundance of shopping opportunities, this comes as no surprise.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re looking for what\u2019s new in Dallas, peruse this list and then don\u2019t delay in booking your airline and hotel!<\/p>\n

Places to Stay<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Within the next 5 years, Dallas will be adding more than 2,500 new hotel rooms. Here are a few on the horizon that won\u2019t be completed until after wintertime.<\/p>\n

Dallas\u2019s landmark hotel, The Adolphus<\/a>, is in its final phase of renovations. The 407 guest rooms and suites have already been updated and the rooftop pool was opened last spring. The finishing touches will reintroduce the lobby bar and tea, add a Mediterranean bistro, a 5,000 square foot spa and salon, a street-side cafe as well as a totally refurbished ballroom.<\/p>\n

In the spring of 2017, the Statler Hotel & Residences in downtown Dallas will reopen after a $225 million dollar redevelopment. Great care is being taken to preserve its historic features while adding state-of-the-art improvements. Plans include a 24-hour diner, a high-end restaurant, rooftop pool, and upscale ballroom along with retail and office space.<\/p>\n

At the end of May, the Hilton Anatole<\/a> in Dallas\u2019s Design District will have completed all phases of its new JadeWaters complex. This waterpark resort pool facility will include a leisure pool, a beach-entry family pool, a lazy river, luxury cabanas, a splash zone with two 180-foot slides, and a grill and swim-up bar.<\/p>\n

Food<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Foodies should wander around Trinity Groves at the base of Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in West Dallas. You\u2019ll find an eclectic collection of eateries in a former warehouse setting. Several options are already open with more on the way.<\/p>\n
