This week, the sensational popsicle shop I See I See<\/a> announced it will be opening a new location in Singapore<\/a>. With scrumptious flavors such as Earl Grey Tea with Pistachio, Raspberry Cheesecake, Kiwi and Strawberry Hokkaido Milk, it\u2019s easy to see why the Hong Kong<\/a> location has gained popularity since opening just under a year ago. This got us thinking about other unique places to eat around the globe. Here are our top five suggestions of restaurants that astound visitors with their d\u00e9cor or food (or both)!<\/p>\n

The Decadent Chor Bizarre<\/h3>\n

A veritable feast for the eyes, Chor Bizarre<\/a> is inspired by the ancient Indian concept of a Thieves Market<\/em>, resulting in a gorgeous hodgepodge of antique furnishings and curiosities. With establishments in New Delhi<\/a>, India, and London<\/a>, England, you can eat out of a 1930s roadster, or lounge in an old-world, four-posted bed. The menu features traditional Indian food and desserts that are as decadent as the d\u00e9cor.<\/p>\n

Truth in advertising is alive and well at Black Ant<\/a>\u00a0in New York<\/a>.\u00a0That\u2019s right, this East Village Mexican restaurant serves insect-inspired dishes like black ant guacamole (yes, you read that correctly!), ant-roasted jerk chicken, and ground grasshopper-crusted shrimp. After all, insects are high in protein and, if prepared correctly, can be pretty delicious.<\/p>\n

Have you ever eaten underwater? You can at Ithaa Undersea Restaurant<\/a>, located at the Conrad Maldives<\/a>, Rangali Island Resort. This intimate dining spot (it only seats 14) is located sixteen feet below sea level in an acrylic tunnel that allows you to take in stunning sea creatures as you sip and nibble (talk about ambiance!). The menu features a large seafood selection, but if eating fish while watching fish swim overhead rubs you the wrong way, you can always order a succulent meat dish (the beef rib eye gets rave reviews).<\/p>\n

Great Balls of Food!<\/h3>\n

In the case of this Parisian eatery, the name says it all. Balls<\/a>\u00a0is the Paris <\/a>place to go for a spherical supper\u2014every menu item is shaped like a ball. Don\u2019t let the monotonous shapes fool you, though. Each glob contains a concert of flavors. A basic beef meatball comes alive when parsley and onion are added to it. And you must try the pork meatballs with fennel and paprika. Vegetarians can feast on the eggplant and chickpea balls. Each dish comes with delicious dipping sauces, too.<\/p>\n

Seeing is believing when it comes to this water-locked restaurant<\/a> off the shore of Michanwi Pingwe beach (you have to wade through the waves to get there) in exotic\u00a0Zanzibar<\/a>, Tanzania. This intimate spot, literally located on a rock, serves up beautiful seafood and pasta dishes, followed by a simple (yet satisfying) dessert menu.<\/p>\n
