{"id":98881274,"date":"2011-01-17T10:55:00","date_gmt":"2011-01-17T10:55:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/travel-trends\/korean-air-announces-inaugural-flight-for-a380\/"},"modified":"2022-01-25T07:32:43","modified_gmt":"2022-01-25T12:32:43","slug":"korean-air-announces-inaugural-flight-for-a380","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/going-places\/korean-air-announces-inaugural-flight-for-a380\/","title":{"rendered":"Korean Air Announces Inaugural Flight for A380"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Korean Air will launch A380 service on June 1 (Image: Wikimedia)\" src=\"\/going-places\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/2011\/1\/koreanairOT.jpg\" alt=\"Korean Air will launch A380 service on June 1 (Image: Wikimedia)\" width=\"354\" height=\"305\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Korean Air will receive its first Airbus A380 in May and an inaugural flight has now been scheduled.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The airline announced that it will show off the double-decker jet on a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/flights\/from-seoul-to-tokyo-sel-to-tyo\">flight from Seoul to Tokyo<\/a> on June 1.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Upon returning to Seoul, the plane will depart for Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/airlines\/korean-air-ke\">Korean Air<\/a> will be the first airline to reserve the entire upper deck of the plane for business class travelers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jae Ho Kim, director and vice president of Korean Air Europe said business travelers will \u201cfeel exclusivity like they\u2019re traveling in their own private jet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A second A380 is set to begin flying the Seoul-Bangkok route in July, while a third will fly between New York and Seoul beginning in August.
