However it is becoming more and more popular these days to get out of town, far, far away from the groom.

While shots may be the only thing some bachelorettes want, the bride who likes to travel and relax will be looking to her bachelorette party to plan the ideal getaway. If you find yourself in such a conundrum, here are a few tips to help with planning that weekend getaway just before the wedding:

Get a sense of where the bride wants to go and find out if its feasible—The first step in planning a bachelorette weekend away is gauging where the bride wants to go. Before your bride starts demanding Paris, give her options that are actually feasible for the time frame and for the pocketbooks of all parties involved.

Research Food and Wine at Your Destination—Don’t just wing it when it comes to restaurants at your bachelorette party destination. The weekend should be special and so should the cuisine. This is the time to research the best of the best, which local chef is really coming up with the tastiest dinners in town. Brides who like to travel will expect the food and wine to be interesting, tasty and filling, just as they would on any adventure far from home.

Step Outside The Traditional Locales—Countless articles will suggest Las Vegas, New York, or California wine country as the perfect place to take the bachelorette party. While these destinations no doubt yield that “throw caution to the wind” atmosphere, they are the standards of bachelor and bachelorette weekends away. If you want to make your bride feel special, take her somewhere most groups don’t go. The more culturally conscious bachelorette will be looking for a weekend away that is not like the next bride’s bachelorette escape.

Do as the Royals Do—Both Prince William and Kate Middleton were able to have bachelor and bachelorette parties without the prying eyes of the press. From country house escapes to theme parties in remote locations, sometimes the bachelorette party doesn’t have to be a giant production. Keep it simple. You are already traveling to get to the party so why not relax, wander through quaint shops and cafes and soak up the destination, and a beer or two if the bride is willing.

With the coming of spring so too comes wedding season, Prince William’s included. And with wedding season in the spring and summer, some of us are invited to weddings that fill up every weekend in April, May, and June. Rehearsal dinners, bridal showers and bachelor parties lead up to the big day. […]

[71

post-98881166","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-general
["GET
