The service will initially be available at six stations in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Signals will be available on the platform and mezzanine levels of each station and will only extend a short way into the tunnels.The company wiring the stations, Transit Wireless, plans to have all 271 stations cell phone ready within five years.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There is on catch for now: only AT&amp;T and T-Mobile customers will be able to find a signal.
