Anyone who’s been to the Big Apple can tell you that navigating your way through the streets of New York City can be exhausting.<\/p>\n

And in some of the busiest parts of the city, visitors can be hard-pressed to find a place to catch their breath. But weary tourists can rest easy knowing the city will soon be home to 1,000 new benches.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The steel benches will be installed by the Department of Transportation throughout all five boroughs over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

So where will the benches spring up? Wherever you ask!<\/p>\n

The department will first target high-traffic areas and neighborhoods with heavy elderly populations but will also take requests from local business owners and residents.<\/p>\n
