A Thanksgiving tradition continues in 2011 with the 85th Annual Macy\u2019s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The 2011 parade will feature more than two dozen floats, 11 marching bands, and over 1,600 cheerleaders from around the country.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A slew of high-profile musicians are also slated to perform outside of Macy\u2019s flagship store in Herald Square. 2011 performers include Cee Lo Green, Neil Diamond, Mary J. Blige, and Avril Lavigne.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Those looking to grab a good viewing spot should plan ahead and arrive early. The yearly event has become one of the biggest spectacles on New York City\u2019s busy calendar.<\/p>\n

The parade will make its way from a starting point at 77th Street and Central Park West through Columbus Circle before marching down a long stretch of 7th Avenue. The parade kicks off at 9 AM on Thanksgiving Day<\/a>, November 24.<\/p>\n
