{"id":98880809,"date":"2012-02-25T10:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-02-25T10:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/travel-trends\/world-s-first-pizza-museum-to-open-in-philadelphia\/"},"modified":"2018-11-02T10:15:09","modified_gmt":"2018-11-02T14:15:09","slug":"world-s-first-pizza-museum-to-open-in-philadelphia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/going-places\/world-s-first-pizza-museum-to-open-in-philadelphia\/","title":{"rendered":"World\u2019s First Pizza Museum to Open in Philadelphia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>When it comes to pizza, Philadelphia is often overshadowed by destinations like New York City, Chicago, and even New Haven, Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>However, the City of Brotherly Love is about to get a leg up on the crusted culinary competition by opening the world\u2019s first pizza museum in one of its up-and-coming neighborhoods.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Opening later this Spring, Pizza Brain in Fishtown will feature the enormous pizza memorabilia collection of Guinness World Record-holder Brian Dwyer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dwyer, who received recognition from Guinness for his collection last summer, had originally planned to display his memorabilia inside of a pizzeria before a friend suggested opening the one-of-a-kind museum.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There will be no starving artists here, however.
