If you\u2019re looking for a funkier, more bohemian aesthetic and lots of high-quality independent boutiques, I recommend checking out the following areas.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main Street (Santa Monica)<\/strong><br \/>\nNot to be confused with the more commercial 3rd Street Promenade also located in Santa Monica (that features stores like Anthropologie, Barnes and Noble, Urban Outfitters, etc.), Main Street Santa Monica is home to a variety of mostly independently owned retailers (with a few national brands like American Apparel and Gap). One boutique not to miss is Accents, a jewelry shop featuring handmade pieces (many of them made by local artists) with gold, silver and semi-precious\/precious stones. It\u2019s the perfect place to find a unique piece of jewelry to bring home with you. Blue Sparrow is a lovely boutique featuring colorful clothing and funky, affordable jewelry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Abbott Kinney (Venice)<\/strong><br \/>\nAbbott Kinney, Venice\u2019s premier shopping street, is located several miles from Santa Monica\u2019s Main Street. Known for its bohemian-chic vibe, Abbot Kinney is the place to go to nab the perfect vintage purse, rare used book, or piece of designer jewelry.
