\nFoodies rejoice! Every Friday and Saturday through September 27th you\u2019ll find a fleet of street food vendors at Dalston Yard, participating in London\u2019s pioneering night market.\u00a0 From 5pm to midnight enjoy feasts from some of London\u2019s top street food vendors, chefs and restaurants along with specialty cocktails, craft beer and fine wine in this unique food fest.\u00a0 Each weekend features a rotating line up of some of London\u2019s favorites including Rola Wala\u2019s Indian street food, Smokestak BBQ and Breddos Tacos.<\/p>\n
\nWhat better way to celebrate a banking holiday than taking to the streets during Europe\u2019s biggest street festival! August 24th through the 25th brings Caribbean style celebration to West London.\u00a0 The festival finds its origins in the Trinidad Carnival and has kept with the spirit of its Caribbean roots.\u00a0 This diverse festival features live steel bands, Calypso music and exotic food vendors.\u00a0 The Notting Hill Carnival will have about 50,000 performers and is expecting to see over 1 million attendees during the Carnival weekend.<\/p>\n![\"5](\"\/going-places\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/2014\/7\/shutterstock_152348672.jpg\" "\\"5")
\n3. Film4 Summer Screen<\/strong>
\nIn what is hailed as London\u2019s most beautiful open-air cinema, the Film4 Summer Screen hosts a variety of movie screenings in Somerset House\u2019s meticulously designed courtyard. From August 7th through August 20th watch classic, cult, contemporary and never before seen films on London\u2019s largest screen with full surround sound.<\/p>\n
\nYou won\u2019t have to leave London to enjoy a day at the beach!\u00a0 This pop-up attraction comes complete with deck chairs, beach huts, arcade games, an ice cream truck along with two restaurants as well as a bar.\u00a0 Camden Beach is open from July 27th to August 24th and has special events scheduled throughout the summer including live music and DJ performances.<\/p>\n
\nFor an entire weekend, the roads around central London are closed to regular traffic so that bicyclists can be unleashed; free to bike the city in a safe spin around town.\u00a0 But it\u2019s not just about biking freely for an entire weekend.\u00a0 On August 9th and 10th the Prudential RideLondon FreeCycle hosts events throughout the day including races for young Olympic hopefuls as well as professionals.\u00a0 There\u2019s also a 100-mile route for amateur cyclists.\u00a0 It\u2019s free to join in the fun, but you must register in advance at www.prudentialridelondon.co.uk\/freecycle<\/a>.<\/p>\n
