From L.A. dining institutions like Canter\u2019s Deli to the TV industry mainstays like CBS studios, there is certainly no shortage of activities to keep you busy in this bustling area.<\/div>\n

Catch an independent film at Cinefamily. An independent movie theater\/performance space\/community, Cinefamily is a truly unique venue known for its innovative programming. Depending on the day, you can see an early silent movie with live accompaniment, a new foreign release, or a retrospective mini film festival. Enjoy a black and white cookie at\u00a0Canter\u2019s Deli<\/a>. A staple of the L.A. casual dining scene since 1931, Canter\u2019s serves satisfying, classic traditional deli fare. The pastrami sandwiches and matzo ball soup are not to be missed, but my heart belongs to their iconic black and white cookies. You can find the cookies at 419 North Fairfax Avenue.<\/div>\n

Graze at the\u00a0Farmer\u2019s Market<\/a>. Located next to the Grove, the L.A. Farmer\u2019s Market is a great place to take a stroll and nosh on local goodies. My favorite place to grab lunch is Monsieur Marcel. Grab a spot at the bar, tuck into an impeccable salade ni\u00e7oise and a glass of French ros\u00e9 and enjoy the people watching – 6333 West 3rd Street<\/div>\n

Go treasure hunting at\u00a0Melrose Trading Post<\/a>. Melrose Trading Post is one of my favorite flea markets in Los Angeles. Every Sunday between 9am and 5pm, a variety of vendors bring their vintage wears to Fairfax High School. Come enjoy the low-key vibe and you may even leave with an incredible find (like my cherished carpet bag) – 7850 Melrose Avenue<\/div>\n
