Travelers have a few new things to conquer this year with body scanners being one and Secure Flight (a new program that requires travelers to provide more info when booking a ticket) as the other.<\/p>\n

Some passengers aren\u2019t comfortable with body scanners; however these machines are a growing presence in the nation\u2019s airports. While concerns have been raised in regards to the scanners and health, those worries were trumped last Christmas when a man attempted to detonate explosives he had hidden in his underwear.<\/p>\n

Secure flight is a behind-the-scenes attempt by the TSA to better pair possible terrorists with watch lists. The program will officially begin on November 1 and it requires airlines to collect the full name, birth date and gender of the passenger at booking.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Those who don\u2019t provide the info at least 72 hours in advance will not be issued a boarding pass.<\/p>\n
