Thirteen years ago, three cubs were rescued from the apartment of an Atlanta drug dealer, who reportedly kept them as a status symbol. Today, this too-cute-for-words trio is fondly referred to as BLT by staff members at the Noah&#8217;s Ark Animal Sanctuary in Locust Grove, Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Separately, they\u2019re known as Baloo the brown bear, Leo the lion, and Shere Khan the tiger and are native to three entirely different continents.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Animals of the Week: This Lion, Tiger, and Bear Formed An Epic Friendship, Photo: TODAY Pets\" src=\"\/going-places\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/2014\/6\/blt2.jpg\" alt=\"Animals of the Week: This Lion, Tiger, and Bear Formed An Epic Friendship, Photo: TODAY Pets\" width=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Under normal circumstances, these unlikely besties (and we <em>really<\/em> mean unlikely) should have been at each other\u2019s throats \u2014literally. Instead, they choose to share a cage on a sprawling three-acre habitat.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" title=\"Animals of the Week: This Lion, Tiger, and Bear Formed An Epic Friendship, Photo: TODAY Pets\" src=\"\/going-places\/wp-content\/uploads\/files\/2014\/6\/blt3.jpg\" alt=\"Animals of the Week: This Lion, Tiger, and Bear Formed An Epic Friendship, Photo: TODAY Pets\" width=\"450\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey actually seek out each other\u2019s affections,\u201d the founder of Noah\u2019s Ark, Jama Hedgecoth, said. \u201cThey nuzzle each other. They play together.\u201d<br \/>\nThat\u2019ll be one point for animals, zero for humans.
