{"id":590,"date":"2011-08-31T14:06:00","date_gmt":"2011-08-31T14:06:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/travel-trends\/tampa-hard-rock-hotel-and-casino-undergoing-75-million-expansion\/"},"modified":"2018-10-25T10:05:56","modified_gmt":"2018-10-25T14:05:56","slug":"tampa-hard-rock-hotel-and-casino-undergoing-75-million-expansion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/going-places\/tampa-hard-rock-hotel-and-casino-undergoing-75-million-expansion\/","title":{"rendered":"Tampa Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Undergoing $75 Million Expansion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa, Florida is currently undergoing a $75 million expansion that will make it one of the largest casinos in the United States when all is said and done.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The property, which is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, will see its casino floor expand by more than 220,000 square feet while adding 750 slot machines and a dozen table games by April 2012.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To make room for all the extra gamblers, the Hard Rock will add 1,350 more parking spaces, marking a 25% increase over current capacity.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The massive expansion will make the Hard Rock the third largest Indian casino in the country, behind only the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos in Connecticut.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The project is just part of a broader $800 million reinvestment, according to the Seminole tribe.
