{"id":19,"date":"2011-03-15T15:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-03-15T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/travel-trends\/spirit-airlines-to-launch-mexico-city-san-salvador-flights-in-june\/"},"modified":"2019-08-22T03:18:15","modified_gmt":"2019-08-22T07:18:15","slug":"spirit-airlines-to-launch-mexico-city-san-salvador-flights-in-june","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/going-places\/spirit-airlines-to-launch-mexico-city-san-salvador-flights-in-june\/","title":{"rendered":"Spirit Airlines to Launch Mexico City, San Salvador Flights in June"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Budget carrier <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/airlines\/spirit-airlines-nk\" target=\"_blank\">Spirit Airlines<\/a> recently announced plans to push further into the international market, offering two destinations south of the border this summer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first new route, set to launch June 3, will connect passengers in Spirit\u2019s Fort Lauderdale hub to Toluca International Airport near Mexico City.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a press release, Spirit said Toluca airport, which is located 25 miles from central Mexico City, &#8220;provides customers easy access and serves as a convenient alternate to Mexico City International Airport.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/flights\/from-fort-lauderdale-to-mexico-city-fll-to-mex\" target=\"_blank\">Fort Lauderdale-Mexico City flights<\/a> will run every Tuesday and Friday. Starting June 13, Spirit customers will also be able to fly from Fort Lauderdale to San Salvador, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.onetravel.com\/cheap-flights\/el-salvador-sv-deals\" target=\"_blank\">El Salvador<\/a> three times per week.
