Carry-on Allowance Each passenger can carry on one bag and one personal item such as a purse or briefcase within the following limits:
• Weighing not more than 40 lb
• Not exceeding 51 linear inches (length + width + height)
• Personal Item: 21” x 16” x 8” (length x width x height)
• Fits easily in the overhead bin or underneath the seat in front of you
Checked Baggage Allowance Each Coach Class passenger is allowed 2 checked bags within the following limits:
• Weighs 50 lb/23 kg or less
• 62 linear inches/157 cm (length + width + height)
If you’re an Envoy/First Class passenger, you are allowed 2 checked bags of the following dimensions:
• Weighs 70 lb/32 kg or less
• 62 linear inches/157 cm (length + width + height)
Parents paying 10% of the adult fare for an infant to fly on a transatlantic flight have the following checked baggage allowance on the complete itinerary:
One checked bag with the maximum total dimensions of 45” and maximum weight of 50 pounds
One fully collapsible stroller or one child restraint device or car seat
Excess Baggage Rules If your baggage exceeds US Airways’ permissible limits of free baggage allowance, you’re required to pay additional fee based on quantity, weight and size. For bags weighing 51-70 lb, you’ll be charged an additional amount of $50, and for bags between 71- 100 lb, the fee is $80. There is a fee of $80 for every bag between 63-80 linear inches. Bags weighing over 100 lbs and 80 linear inches are not accepted. Also, you’re required to pay an amount of $80 for each additional bag.

Carry-on Allowance Delta Airlines allows you to carry-on one bag, plus one personal item within the following limits:
• Weighs 18 kg (40pounds) or less
• Doesn’t exceed 45 inches (length+ width+ height)
• Fits easily into the SizeWise unit (approximately 22” x 14” x 9”)
• Fits in the overhead bin or the underneath the seat in front of you
Checked Baggage Allowance You’re allowed to check two bags within the following limits for each bag:
• Weighs not more than 50 lbs/22.5 kg
• Doesn’t exceed 62 inches (length + width + height)
Excess Baggage Rules If your baggage exceeds Delta Airlines’ permissible limits of free baggage allowance, you’re required to pay additional fee based on quantity, weight and size. For bags weighing 51-70 lb, you’ll be charged an additional amount of $25, and for bags between 70- 100 lb, the fee is $100. There is a fee of $100 for every bag between 63-80 linear inches. Bags weighing over 100 lbs are not accepted. Within the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico, an amount of $50 is charged for each additional bag, while for the same, the charge is $100 for all other destinations. For sports equipments like surfboards, cycles etc, you’re required to pay a fixed handling fee.

Carry-on Allowance On board United, you are allowed to carry on one bag and one personal item such as a purse, briefcase, or laptop computer provided they are within the following permissible baggage limits:
• The dimensions of your bag shouldn’t exceed 9" x 14" x 22" (length + width + height)
• Not to exceed 45 linear inches (length + height + width)
• All carry-on bags must easily I the overhead bin or underneath the seat in front of you
Checked Baggage Allowance Based on domestic and international and routes, United Airlines have different checked baggage requirements.
Domestic: If you’re flying on a domestic route, you may check two bags free of charge within the 50 US states and to/from Canada, San Juan, Puerto Rico and St. Thomas US Virgin Islands. Be sure that each bag falls within the following permissible limits:
• Weighs 50 pounds/23kg or less
• Dimensions not to exceed 62 inches/158cm (length + width + height)
International: On international routes, United Airlines allows you a maximum free baggage allowance of two bags per passenger, each not exceeding a weight of 50 pounds/23kg and within a dimension of 62 inches/158cm (length + width + height). However the rules may vary depending on the Class of travel and destination.
Excess Baggage Rules If your baggage exceeds United Airlines’ permissible limits of free baggage allowance, you’re required to pay additional fee based on quantity, weight and size. For bags weighing over 50 lb/23 kg, you’ll be charged an additional amount of $50 each. Bags exceeding 62- 115 linear inches will be charged $100 per article. Bags weighing over 100 lbs and 115 linear inches are not accepted. Also, the following charges apply for additional bags- $85 each for 1-2 extra bags, $125 each for 3-4 extra bags, and $200 each for 5 and up.

If you are unable to locate a checked bag upon arrival, you should notify an American Airlines/American Eagle baggage service agent prior to leaving the airport. At that time, you will be given a Baggage Claim ID and a brochure explaining the baggage recovery process. Sports Equipment For sports equipments like surfboards, cycles etc, you’re required to pay a fixed handling fee. Please refer to the American Airlines website for detailed guidelines.
Comments Some destinations outside of the continental U.S. (as well as travel from Los Angeles to Miami and Fort Lauderdale) have additional limitations on checked baggage at specific times of the year. This is called an "embargo". Please contact an American Airlines representative at 1-800-433-7300 to see if a baggage embargo is applicable for your itinerary and travel dates.

If you’re traveling First Class on flights to/from US, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean, you enjoy a generous allowance of three pieces of baggage. While the first two should fall within the coach class baggage limitations, the third one has the following requirements:

• Not exceeding 45 linear inches (length+ width+ height)

Comments On Northwest flights, more than 99% of checked luggage arrives on the same flight with the customer who checked the luggage. On an unlikely event that your luggage is delayed, lost or damaged, you must report any to Northwest within 24 hours.

Carry-on Allowance For carry-on luggage, AirTran Airways allows one carry-on item and one personal item like handbags, walking sticks, crutches, coats, cameras, infant food, laptop computers etc. provided they are within the following permissible limits:

• Fits in the overhead bin or the underneath the seat in front of you
Checked Baggage Allowance You’re allowed two pieces of checked luggage with the following weight and size limitations:
• Weighing not more than 50lbs/23 kg
• Not exceeding 62 linear inches/157 cm (length+ width+ height)
Excess Baggage Rules For every piece of luggage exceeding the permissible limit, you’re required to pay a fee of $50. Additional charges apply for overweight and oversize luggage. For every overweight baggage, you’ll be charged $25 for items from 51 to 70 pounds and $65 for items from 71 to 100 pounds. Oversize baggage will be accepted up to a maximum size of 80 inches for a fee of $65 per bag. Baggage weighing over 100 pounds and dimensions exceeding 80 inches are not be accepted.

Sports Equipment Select sporting equipment may be a part of the free baggage allowance when checked in lieu of the first piece of luggage acceptable under this allowance. Sporting equipment NOT included in the free baggage allowance are: bicycles, scuba gear and surfboards. Each item has acceptance limitations (see below) and will be assessed an excess baggage charge of $65.

However, if you are an OnePass Elite Member traveling in Economy Class, you enjoy an excess baggage allowance of up to 70 pounds/32 kg. Besides, First or BusinessFirst passengers can carry an additional bag, with the maximum weight permissible for any bag being 70 pounds/32 kg.

Articles Lost on-board: Articles that were left on-board a Continental aircraft may be reported to the Continental Airlines Baggage Resolution Center at its 24/7 toll-free number: 1.800.335.BAGS (1.800.335.2247) prompt 1. If the toll-free number is not available in your area, please call 1.281.821.3526 prompt 1.

You may also report your loss to a Continental Baggage Services representative at any airport served by Continental Airlines.
Damaged Articles: Damaged items should be reported to and viewed by the Airport Baggage Service Office immediately after the arrival of your flight, or must be viewed by and reported to Continental Airlines in writing no later than 4 hours (for international travel 7 days) after flight arrival. For information regarding damaged items, contact the airport Baggage Service Office where the damage was reported.

In the course of normal handling, your baggage may show evidence of use. Continental is not liable for minor cuts, scratches, scuffs, dents and soil. Continental is not responsible for conditions that result from normal wear and tear or the following:

Damage to wheels, feet, extending handles, over-packed bag and items of fragile or perishable nature
Loss of external locks, pull straps or security straps
Manufacturer's defects.
Sports Equipment Continental accepts one item of archery equipment per customer in lieu of one piece of free baggage. Besides, a non-motorized bicycle with single seat or up to two non-motorized bicycles packed in one case is accepted as a checked baggage. You can also carry one Boogie/Skim/Speed board or one board bag containing up to two boards per customer in lieu of one piece of free baggage. Comments For wholly domestic travel, Continental assumes no responsibility or liability for baggage or other items carried in the passenger compartment of the aircraft.

For most international travel (including domestic portions of an international itinerary), Continental's liability is a maximum of $400 per customer for unchecked (carried in the passenger compartment of the aircraft) baggage.

Excess Baggage Rules If your baggage exceeds Frontier Airlines’ permissible limits of free baggage allowance, you’re required to pay additional fee based on quantity, weight and size. For each bag weighing 51-100 lb, you’ll be charged an additional amount of $50. For every bag between 63 and 80 inches, you’re required to pay an additional amount of $50. The rates for additional pieces of baggage are- $50 each for 1-2 pieces, $100 each for 3-15 pieces and $200 each for over 16 pieces. Bags weighing over 100 lbs and exceeding 80 inches are not accepted.

Please report any property loss, damage or delay, in person and within four hours of your arrival at your destination. If you've already left the airport, please contact the Found Property voicemail at 877-461-5737 (option 4) or send an email to lostandfound@flyfrontier.com with a detailed description of your lost item, and your contact information.
Liability: For travel wholly between U.S. points, liability shall not exceed $3,000 US dollars per ticketed passenger. Actual value for reimbursement of lost or damaged property will be determined by the documented original purchase price less any applicable depreciation.

International Liability Limit governed by the Warsaw Convention is US $9.07 per pound up to US$454 per bag. International Liability Limit governed by the Montreal Convention is 1000 Special Drawing Rights (SDR) per ticketed passenger. SDR's are an international monetary fund currency unit, converted to U.S. dollars, using the in-effect rate on the mishandled baggage settlement date.

Delayed or damaged bags should be reported in person to the Alaska Airlines baggage office within 24 hours of arrival time. It's important to retain copies of your ticket, baggage claim check and any receipts you may have accumulated for expenses incurred as a result of the mishandling. Sports Equipment Some sporting equipment (snow skis, golf clubs), may be checked in lieu of one piece of luggage, if packaged in a suitable container. Sporting equipment checked in addition to the free baggage allowance is charged an excess fee. There is a fee charged in all situations for some equipment (surfboards, scuba gear). Liability: On domestic flights, ATA's liability for baggage loss, damage or delay is limited to $3,000 per ticketed customer. For international travel (including domestic portions of international journeys), ATA's liability for destruction or loss of, damage to or delay of, checked or unchecked baggage, is limited to 1,000 Special Drawing Rights (approximately $1,400, subject to currency rate change) for each passenger. ATA will reimburse the original purchase cost of a wheelchair that has been lost or damaged beyond repair as a result of a domestic or international flight.

Excess Baggage Rules If your baggage exceeds Spirit Airlines’ permissible limits of free baggage allowance, you’re required to pay additional fee based on quantity, weight and size. For each bag weighing 51-70 lb, you’ll be charged an additional amount of $25, and for bags between 71- 99 lb the fee is $100 each. There is a fee of $75 for every bag between 63 and 115 linear inches, and $150 for bags between 116- 150 linear inches. Bags weighing over 99 lbs and exceeding 160 inches are not accepted. For each additional bag, you’ll be charged an amount of $75.

Liability: Domestic Baggage – Limitation of Liability. For travel wholly between U.S. points, liability for loss, delay or damage to checked baggage is limited to $2,800 per ticketed passenger (unless a higher amount is established by D.O.T.)
International Baggage – Limitation of Liability

On any flight entering into or leaving a foreign country, Spirit will not accept live animals, as checked baggage or as cargo shipments.
Spirit will not accept any agricultural items, perishable items or any product that does not conform to the Customs and/or Agricultural government entities of any foreign country that the passenger is entering into or leaving from on a Spirit flight.
Spirit will not accept Human Remains (HR) as checked baggage or cargo into any foreign country.
Limitations on excess, oversized, and overweight luggage may apply.
Liability limitations for travel to/from international destinations for all airlines are governed by the Warsaw Convention or Montreal Convention as applicable.
For International travel (including domestic portions of International itineraries) to which the Warsaw Convention applies:

Liability for loss, delay or damage is limited to a maximum of $9.07 per pound ($20 per kilo) for checked baggage, and $400 per ticketed passenger for unchecked baggage. Liability is for a maximum of 50 lbs/23 kgs ($453.50) per checked bag, unless the passenger pays an excess baggage charge, and the precise weight of the baggage is noted on the passenger’s baggage claim check. This limit may be lowered for additional pieces to certain international destination or when using connecting carriers. Liability for loss or damage to baggage is limited to 1,000 Special Drawing Rights per ticketed passenger. Exchange rates are available online at www.IMF.org. Spirit Airlines will use the date of travel to determine the applicable exchange rate.

Carry-on Allowance You can carry on one bag and one personal item within the following restrictions:
• Carry-on luggage not exceeding the dimension of 24 x 16 x 10 inches (length x width x height)

Bags weighing over 100 lbs and exceeding 80 linear inches are not accepted. For each additional bag, you’ll have to pay an amount of $50.

Checked Baggage Allowance You’re allowed two pieces of checked luggage, each within the following weight and size limitations:

Excess Baggage Rules If your baggage exceeds Midwest Airlines’ permissible limits of free baggage allowance, you’re required to pay additional fee based on quantity, weight and size. For each bag weighing 51-70 lb, you’ll be charged an additional amount of $25, and for bags between 71- 100 lb the fee is $50 each. There is a fee of $80 for every bag between 63 and 115 linear inches. Bags weighing over 100 lbs and exceeding 115 inches are not accepted. For each additional bag, you’ll be charged an amount of $50.

Comments On domestic flights, Sun Country is liable for loss of, damage to, or delay in delivery of high value, fragile, or perishable items, including but not limited to, the following: medication, money, jewelry, silverware, negotiable papers, securities, electronic/video/ photographic equipment, samples, heirlooms, antiques, artifacts, works of art, or other valuables included in the passenger's checked luggage, with or without the knowledge of Sun Country Airlines. CLAIMS DEPARTMENT
After the 5 days has elapsed and the baggage is still not recovered by the Baggage Service counter, the baggage case is referred to the Claims Department. This department handles all checked baggage cases or items taken away from passenger for which a claims tag is issued (i.e., the baggage is lost). At this time the passenger should have already completed and submitted to the Claims Department a statement proof of loss form as instructed on the Baggage Irregularity Report (BIR) form.

Liability for lost or damaged baggage is limited to $2,800 per fare-paying passenger. An initial report must be filed with Island Air, in writing, prior to leaving the premises of Island Air and in no event more than four hours after the arrival of the flight. In the event of failure to give notice, no action shall lie against Island Air. Airline ticket receipts, claim checks and damaged goods should not be discarded until the research process is completed.

Island Air assumes NO LIABILITY for:

Items carried in the passenger cabin.
Fragile or valuable articles such as: cameras, VCRs, computers and any other electronic equipment or components, jewelry, cash or other similar valuable items in checked baggage.
Perishable items in checked baggage.
Normal wear and tear to baggage which includes, but is not limited to, zippers, torn seams, scuff marks, scratches, tears, cuts, gouges, punctures, dents, etc. Baggage is designed to protect its contents.
Damage to or loss of protruding parts, such as: wheels and feet, straps, pockets, handles, pull handles, hanger hooks, locks or other items attached to the baggage, as well as damage to oversized, overweight, overpacked and previously damaged baggage; and items of a fragile or perishable nature.
Loss, damage(s) to or delay in delivery of any property checked by a passenger traveling on a non-revenue or reduced-rate ticket.
