Zoom Airlines
Primarily targeting the middle- income flyers of Canada, Zoom Airlines (Z4) was founded in 2002 by Boyle Brothers as a low- fare transatlantic airline. Zoom Airlines was based in Ottawa and used to offer year- round flight services to 15 destinations across Europe, South America, Caribbean, and the Southern United States. It had a fleet of 5 aircraft of Boeing 767 300-series painted in a brilliant sky-blue color.
Because of high financial loss, Zoom Airlines filed for bankruptcy and subsequently it was taken over by Globe Span Capital in 2009 which relocated overall operation of finance, human resources and call-centre divisions from Ontario to Kingston and later renamed it XPO Airlines.
