LTU International Airways Flight
Founded in May 1955 as Lufttransport Union, LTU International (LT) was an airline based at Dusseldorf, Germany. With Air Berlin as its parent company, the airline operated scheduled flights to popular U.S. destinations from Dusseldorf. Some of the other top destinations that the LTU International route map covered include Beijing, Chengdu and Shanghai. In 2005, the LTU International was awarded the “Five Star Diamond Award” by the Hospitality Sciences for its exceptional quality and service in the Business Class / long-haul category.
In March 2007, LTU International merged with Air Berlin forming the fourth largest airlines in Europe in terms of traffic. Although the United States and China sectors are marketed by Air Berlin, LTU International will retain its hold on its leisure routes. Additionally LTU International still operates on long-haul routes to Dominican Republic, the USA, Canada and the Maldives.
