Started in 2004, Atlas Blue Airlines (8A) was a low-cost airline, which was based out in Marrakech, Morocco. It had its main hubs in Marrakech-Menara Airport and Tangier-Boukhalef Airport. The first flight of Atlas Blue Airlines flew on 26 July, 2004 from Morocco to France on a Boeing 737-400. Atlas Blue Airlines covered more than 26 destinations which included Morocco, Belgium, Germany, France, Switzerland, Poland, Netherland, Spain, United Kingdom and Italy.
Its fleet of 14 airplanes (upon merger) flew millions of passengers to their destinations effectively and efficiently. By the end of 2009, Atlas Blue Airlines merged with Royal Air Maroc. This merger brought 5 Boeing 737-400s to the fleet of Atlas Blue Airlines and helped the airline to expand its services to Italy, United Kingdom, Belgium and Germany.
