5 Make sure you eat at a hawker centre when you're there - don't go for all the restaurants because hawker centres have the best local food!

Great Public Transportation and loved Singapore! 
5 Singapore was fantastic. The public transportation (MRT) is phenomenal and easy to use. Take the MRT directly from the aiport to anywhere in town. I mostly spent my time in Chinatown which I would highly recommend. There is a lot of shopping there, great food and lots of action all day long. It's also very close to the Marina area which I also enjoyed. I debated between staying in Chinatown or near the Singapore river, but I was glad I went with Chinatown. Check out the free light/laser show at 8 and 9:30 everynight on the waterfront.
