Visiting Malta 
5 We travelled to Malta to visit my sister and her husband. The flight over was fine but when I returned on May 2nd, there was problems with the plane and I was 2-1/2 hours late leaving Malta which resulted in me missing my connecting flight in Frankfurt. I was given a hotel room by Luftansa and a 20 Euro voucher for dinner but when I went to the hotel resturant I was told I could only have the buffet and not order from the menu. I was not pleased. The buffet was terrible and I do not enjoy buffets. I asked for a cup of tea and was told that was only available for breakfast. The meal on the flight from Frankfurt to Toronto wasn't very good. No complaints going to Toronto to Munich to Malta but the return trip was less than pleasant.

My Time In Malta 
5 I loved it! First stop was the main island which is Malta. I felt as if the airport was a throw back to old hollywood glamour. You depart the plane on portable stairs to the tarmac, an airport personal guides you to the inside of the airport. There you are greeted by another personal who assist you to your next destination. Since Gozo was my next stop, I was told where to catch a local bus that would take me to the ferry for Gozo. I can not even explain how beautiful it is at night, or how breath taking the scenery is or the architecture of their buildings. Once in Gozo, I felt as if I stepped back in time to a more simple world. Everyone meets at the Piazza for drinks, good food and great conversation. I went to Xwejni bay and saw how sea salt was made. Next stop, Ramla Bay to see if the sand is as Red as it is claimed to be, and the sand is golden Red!! I went to Ta' Pinu Sanctuary and felt at peace. Last stop was Azure Window, I was blown away! How could nature create such a thing of beauty! If anyone is going on a vacation first go to Malta and see beauty. Then travel to Gozo and witness a brief stay in heaven!
