4 I traveled with a friend and her husband who was receiving a knee replacement. Therefore, this was not entirely a pleasure trip. (The cost of a knee replacement was $50,000 in Oregon compared to $7,000 in India with wonderful, compassionate treatment.) However, my experience was that the Indian people are very generous and hospitable. An excursion to Agra to the Taj Mahal is definately one of those incredible memories to never be forgotten. Additionally, tours of Mysore and Jaipur included magnificant palaces, ornate temples and handicafts such as carpets and fabric that is exquisite.
