As anyone would expect, during the winter months Pittsburgh is a cold destination. Snow covered roofs and trees is what one can expect during a visit around this time of the year. However, as opposed to other cold places, you do get some sunshine on most of the days even on snowy ones. The locals are very much used to it, though, and it is not a trouble for your schedule. Due to the locals' preparedness I have never had delays on my flight to and from Pittsburgh during the winter months. If there is one advice to be given for a trip there around this time is: put your layers on and wear proper winter shoes!
