I was attempting to go to Okinawa to see my son, a US Marine who was recently diagnosed with leukemia. I typed in Okinawa as the destination. Your service changed the location to Oshima. I thought that Oshima was the name of the Okinawa airport. I got to Tokyo and was met by my brother, who looked at my ticket and said that is not going to get you to Okinawa. Working with JAL, I was able to get the ticket changed for an additional $781, and barely made it.
I actually typed in Okinawa, I really did. I typed it in full. Your website changed it. Some airports are named after the city they are located in, others are named after something else, so being unaware that Oshima is a location, I was unaware until arrival in Tokyo that there was a problem. This cost me additional money (which I would have spent anyway - I was going to go to Okinawa regardless because my son needed me) but it also caused me great concern and stress.
