I came to Kansas City to spend time with my friends. I had just celebrated my birthday. I was supposed to go out that weekend, but my plans were rescheduled. This trip was highly impromptu; I had no concrete plans to come to Kansas City until the last minute. Once I did, I had no idea what to expect.
Overall, I have to say I enjoyed myself. Admittedly, I didn't do much. I stayed with a friend and we had fun at Price Chopper and catching up. However, I will say that the energy and environment was laid back and relaxing.
I definitely recommend renting a car at the very least when you go. Transportation seems to move in a slow and limited fashion. (I am from NYC, so I'm used to more hustle and bustle.)
I definitely plan on visiting again very soon.
