My daughter & I went to Cozumel for only one purpose - SCUBA diving! We dove 6 days with Papa Hog's dive shop. They offer a really nice dive package - 7 nights in Hotel Villablanca, 7 free breakfasts, unlimited free shore diving, and 5 days of boat diving, all for about $600 per diver, depending on room size at the hotel. With the flight scheduling we were able to dive 6 days, with the extra day costing only $70. If you don't have your own gear, rental including dive suit is $15 per day.
Papa Hog's boats are not huge cattle boats. We never had more than 6 divers crew on the boat. And the boats are fast - they get you out and back pretty quickly. And if you're staying at a resort north or south of the dive shop pier, you can make arrangements for the dive shop boat to pick you up & drop you off each day.
The hotel is right next door to the dive shop. It's very clean and comfortable. Just remember, it's a hotel, not a resort, but it does have very nice grounds, a pool and deck lounges, a restaurant, and bar.
Papa Hog's cafe is a good place to eat breakfast and lunch. The center of San Miguel is about 1.5 miles.

We upgraded to the Adults Only Exclusive side at Aura. It was amazing! The weather was perfect, the resort was clean and nice. Our food and drinks were excellent, and the staff was amazing. I would definately go back and would reccommend this place to anyone.
