Formerly known as Henson Aviation, Piedmont Airlines (PDT) is a US based regional airline with its headquarters at Salisbury, Maryland. The airline is a solely-owned subsidiary of US Airways which is the 6th largest airline in the United States. In 1931, it was launched as a fixed base operator by Mr. Richard Henson.
Today this airline provides its services to nearly 55 cities throughout the eastern United States and Canada. The airline has a fleet of 44 airlines comprising of De Havilland Canada Dash 8-100s and De Havilland Canada Dash 8-300s. Piedmont Airlines also started a frequent-flyer program named Dividend Miles that offered great discounts. Passengers flying on Piedmont Airlines can earn rewards through the loyalty program with US Airways.
