Airport check-in: For the airport check-in facility passengers should arrive at the airport two hour prior the departure of the flight. The check-in facility closes 45 minutes before the departure of the aircraft.

Carry On: The new baggage policy came under in effect from 1 December, 2008, under this policy the free baggage allowance on all LIAT services will be only one piece that has the maximum weight of 50 lbs (23 kg) per adult or child passenger. The maximum overall size per piece for the luggage should be 62 inches (157 cms). In addition to this the passengers will also be allowed one piece of cabin baggage with the maximum weight of 15 lbs (7 kgs). The dimension of the baggage should be around 21 inches x 14 inches x 8 inches that include wheels, all pockets and handles.
Checked: When it comes to checked baggage LIAT Airlines accepts only one piece of cabin baggage.
Excess: For every extra piece of baggage, excess baggage fees will be charged. The excess baggage will only be accepted on the space available basis. Perishable baggage won't be accepted as the standby baggage. Passengers having baggage that is between 51 to 70 pounds will be charged the overweight bag fees of USD$40. These fees can also be combined with the oversized fee if the bag has the dimension that exceeds 62 inches (157 cms). Passengers having the baggage that has the overall dimension of 62 inches (157 cm) will be charged the oversized bag fee of USD$60. Items that need a check on size include Boogie/Kite/Paddle/Skim/Speed boards.
Itinerary Modifications and Cancellations
Liat Airlines holds the non-refundable policy on all of its segments. Any changes in the reservation can be made up to three hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight. You have to pay US$45 along with any difference in fare, for any online changes per segment.
•These changes can easily be made by contacting LIAT at reservations@ liatairline.com or by calling the LIAT Call center at 1888 844 5428 with the charge of US$50 per segment.
•Those who cancel their bookings at least three hours before the scheduled time of departure, they only qualifies for some portion of the credit.
•You can send yours application for the credit of the unused portion of the booking by contacting at firstname.lastname@example.org or the call center at 1888 844 5428.
•If you don't cancel the flight three hours before the departure time, do not show up for the flight or doesn't board the aircraft for whatsoever reason, then your reservations will be automatically cancelled and you will forfeit the value of your reservations.
•Any child under the age of 12 visiting Barbados unaccompanied requires a notarized letter from parents or the legal guardian stating the permission given for staying with host/hostess.
•Liat Airlines will accept pets like dogs birds and cats. These can be carried in the aircraft checked baggage compartment only.
