These are the rules that Frontier Airlines has defined for Carry On, Checked and Excess baggage.
Carry On: The fees for Carry On baggage depends on the type of fare you purchased and also your level in the Early Returns Program. For example, if you have purchased a Classic Plus, Classic or Economy ticket, you can carry one bag for free provided it doesn't weigh more than 35 pounds. If you have purchased a basic ticket, for the same bag you would have to pay $25. You are also allowed to carry one personal item with the bag which can be anything from a laptop bag to purse.
Checked: Classic and Classic Plus ticket owners are given a 'free checked allowance' limit of one bag provided it doesn't weigh more than 35lbs. Basic and Economy ticket owners would have to shell out $20 for the same. Again for the second bag, Classic and Classic Plus ticket owners won't have to pay a thing, while Basic and Economy ticket owners have to pay $30.
Excess: If you are traveling with baggage that exceeds the free allowance limit, then you would have to pay extra for the same. For baggage that weighs more than 50 pounds, overweight fee of $75 is charged.
Itinerary Modifications and Cancellations
If you want to change your travel date, then you would have to pay 'change fees' along with the fare difference. If you want to cancel your ticket after 24 hours of purchase, then you can apply for full refund. However after 24 hours, the rules for refund depend on the type of fare purchased. If you have bought a non-refundable Classic, Economy or Basic ticket, then you will not be eligible for any refund.
•Infants under two years traveling on an adult's lap do not require a ticket. However for infants above 2 years, you have to purchase a ticket.
•Pets are allowed for a small fee. Classic Plus, Classic and Economy ticket buyers would have to pay $75 as one-way fee, while those who have a Basic ticket would have to shell out $125 for the same.
•Sporting equipments are allowed as checked baggage however you have to reserve an additional 30 minutes for the check-in process. If the sporting equipment weighs more than 50lbs, then overweight charges apply.
