Classes of Service
Your comfort is Air Jamaica's priority. The airline offers two classes of service: Business Class and Economy Class.

There are two ways of check-in offered by Air Jamaica: Web check-in and check-in desks. Please reach the airport early to avoid any hassles during the security check procedures. Carry your boarding pass as without it you won't be permitted to take the flight.
Web Check-In:Gone are the days when you had to stand in long queues at the airport. With Air Jamaica's web check-in, you can select the seat of your choice right from your office. All you need is an internet connection and a laptop/PC. Web check-in time ranges from 24 hours up to 3 hours before the flight's scheduled departure time.
Check-In Desks:Many passengers still prefer the old school way of checking-in at the airline desk at the airport. So make your way towards the Air Jamaica desk where you will be greeted with a smiling airline representative. Get your baggage checked, show your identification documents and get your boarding pass.
Customer Rewards Programs and Perks
Air Jamaica offers numerous rewards programs that make your travel experience as comfortable and luxurious as possible.
Caribbean Miles: Join Caribbean Miles which is the frequent flyer program operated by Air Jamaica. Whether you fly, rent a car or book a hotel, you are liable to earn award miles curtsy this program. When flying, the amount of miles awarded depends upon the class of travel and the total distance covered. However when you use the services of the airline's partners (car rental agencies, hotels etc), you earn miles depending on the nature of the purchase. These miles can be redeemed for special rewards like air tickets, lounge access, priority check-in, hotel stays and much more. Members who fly more than 20,000 miles/year gain access to Silver Membership, those who fly more than 40,000 miles/year gain access to Gold Membership, while if you fly more than 80,000 miles/year, you gain access to the Executive Gold Club Membership.
Club Caribbean: If there is a need to feel special, then join the Club Caribbean which exposes a whole new world of comfort and luxury. Some of the amenities that members of this club enjoy are priority baggage handling, priority check-in, access to business class lounges, discounts at shopping stores and hotels, access to business centers and much more.
Air Jamaica follows a specific set of guidelines for Carry On, Checked and Excess baggage.
Carry On: Passengers are allowed to carry one bag for free provided it doesn't weigh more than 22lbs and has maximum dimensions of 114cm. Apart from this bag, passengers can also carry one additional bag which can be anything from a laptop bag, purse to briefcase.
Checked: On international routes, business class passengers are allowed free checked allowances for three bags provided they don't weigh more than 70 lbs each. Economy class passengers are given free checked allowances for two bags provided they don't weigh more than 70 lbs each.
Excess: Bags that weigh more than 70lbs cannot be counted as checked baggage and are categorized as excess baggage. The charge for excess baggage varies from route to route, e.g. for US/Canada flights, the charge for every additional bag that weighs less than 50lbs is USD 150.
Itinerary Modifications and Cancellations
If you want to cancel your flight, then contact the customer care as soon as possible because the more time you take, the more the penalty is going to be. You can apply for the refund of the remaining amount which takes around 15-30 days. If you want to rebook, then not only would you have to pay the penalty fees but also the fare difference. If for any reason you can't travel on your scheduled date and you miss your flight, then your ticket would hold no value.
•Certain types of sporting equipments are allowed as checked baggage provided they don't weigh more than 50lbs. Some of the equipments that can be counted as checked baggage are archery equipments, fishing equipment, golf equipment and much more.
•Passengers who need assistance can carry their wheel chairs, walkers and much more for free.
•Adults traveling with infants are allowed to carry strollers, baskets and much more stuff for free. However the conditions are subject to change depending on the space available in the aircraft.
